Community Voice Alliance (CVA) is a women-led and youth-driven grassroots organization, officially registered as an NGO on 27 March 2025. Empowering communities from the ground up, CVA is fueled by the leadership of women and the energy of young changemakers.
CVA is committed to advancing social justice, inclusive governance, and sustainable development across Kenya and the East and Horn of Africa region. We have began our operations in Nairobi, Garissa, Mandera, Mombasa, and Turkana.
CVA empowers marginalized communities, especially youth and women, to actively participate in shaping policies, programs, and decisions that affect their lives. Our approach is participatory, rights-based, and locally informed, ensuring that solutions are not only innovative but also sustainable and owned by the communities themselves.
Our Impact-Driven Approach
CVA engages communities through training, capacity building, advocacy, and service delivery to strengthen resilience, promote social equity, and advance development outcomes. We also mobilize and connect volunteers with impactful short- and long-term assignments to build local leadership and foster community ownership.
Through the generous support of diverse donors—including bilateral and multilateral agencies, philanthropic foundations, corporate partners, and individual supporters—CVA has successfully implemented projects that have positively transformed the lives of vulnerable populations in both urban and rural settings.
